With more and unique features, this app is getting installed rapidly. In January 2017, Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Google's CEO Sundar Pichai and Caesar Sengupta, VP, Product Management at Google, met the minister and his team detailing the company's plan to make an e-payment apps. Thus Google launched app to the digital payment marketplace for both android and iPhone users. This Tez app is based on Unified Payments Interface (UPI) developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). 55 banks support to UPI including Axis, HDFC, ICICI, SBI and more. Paytm, PayU Money and similar e-wallets need to add money in their wallets first from bank accounts and then can utilize for further payment. In this case, it need bank account number, IFSC code etc. As Tez is working on UPI, it works with just your mobile number registered for bank account. Simply add phone number either to send payment or to receive and them amount. Tez have better design and more options than BHIM or any other application. The integration of bank account with wallet is done by sending SMS associated with bank account.

There are various options to transfer money. Users with UPI id can proceed for payments. Those who don't have, can create it by registering with secure PIN for the same. The linked account can be used for transactions. The amount can be transferred by mobile number which is registered with UPI id. Other way is Tez app gives QR code to share it easily to receive payment. One can also scan the QR code to make payment by just simply scanning it with camera function of Tez app.

Another way is bank account number with IFSC code. If receiver don’t have any similar app which supports to UPI code, can be used this method. Sender have to add name and account number with ifsc code to transfer the amount. One more way is Cash Mode which allows to transfer of money with nearby Tez users. Cash transfer can be done without sharing phone numbers but instead of that it can be done within range itself. The technology works like Near-Field Communication.

Tez app supports major regional languages Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi, and Telugu including English obviously. Google Tez offers users ₹51 to pocket on referral whenever that new user makes a transaction and maximum of ₹9,000 can be redeemed every year till April 1, 2018. Facebook's new Programming Language "Hack"

Yes, Its True. Facebook unleashed its new programming language named Hack but it has little to do with hacking. It is a new programming language that lets programmers build complex websites and other software quickly without much coding or without many bugs. Experts say Hack is a new version of PHP – the language Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg used when he started building Facebook.

Adding safety nets, adding language features, ease of code conversion from PHP, and the ability to run side-by-side with PHP to allow a gradual progression to total code conversion are some of the variant features of Hack.

Liberty Voice also reported, ‘The big difference from Hack to PHP is that it allows gradual typing. Until now, hasn’t been a language that allowed gradual typing, which makes the new language also gain industrial strength.’ This feature enables a coder to work on both code snippets and improve either one or both at the same time. Reports also stated, ‘While using Hack, an engineer can add code, refresh the page and immediately see the changes without any delays like there would be if they were solely working with a language such as PHP.

Hack provides all these advantages without slowing down the developer. Unlike other statically type languages, Hack can run without compiling the code which makes it unique, fast and powerful.

Facebook said it has already migrated nearly all of its entire PHP code base to Hack and, as it did with HHVM, released an open source version at http://hacklang.org/ as part of its HHVM.

Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL join Agari anti-phishing service

The major Web-based e-mail providers are joining forces with an anti-fraud startup, which is launching tomorrow, to help keep phishing messages out of peoples' inboxes.

Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and AOL are providing metadata from messages that get delivered to their customers to Palo Alto, Calif.-based Agari so it can be used to look for patterns that indicate phishing attacks. Agari collects data from about 1.5 billion messages a day and analyzes them in a cloud-based infrastructure, according to Agari CEO Patrick Peterson.

The company aggregates and analyzes the data and provides it to about 50 e-commerce, financial services and social network customers, including Facebook and YouSendIt, who can then push out authentication policies to the e-mail providers when they see an attack is happening.
"Facebook can go into the Agari console and see charts and graphs of all the activity going on in their e-mail channel (on their domains and third-party solutions) and see when an attack is going on in a bar chart of spam hitting Yahoo," for instance, Daniel Raskin, vice president of marketing for Agari, told CNET in an interview. "They receive a real-time alert and they can construct a policy to push out to carriers (that says) when you see this thing happening don't deliver it, reject it."
Agari doesn't collect the actual messages, he said. Some e-mail providers will take a message that is failing authentication and provide the malicious URLs in it to Agari to pass on to the company whose name is being used in the phishing messages, Raskin said. "Other than that we don't want to see the content," he said.
Google expects Gmail users to benefit as more mail senders authenticate their messages and implement block policies.
"Since 2004 Gmail has supported several authentication standards and developed features to help combat e-mail phishing and fraud," Google Product Manager Adam Dawes said in a statement to CNET. "Proper coordination between senders and receivers is the best way to cut down on the transmission of unauthorized mail, and AGARI's approach helps simplify this process."
Agari, which has been operating in stealth mode since October 2009, rejected more than 1 billion messages across its e-mail partners' networks in a year, according to Peterson, who was with the original management team of e-mail security firm IronPort. IronPort got acquired by Cisco in 2007.
Agari protects 50 percent of U.S. consumer e-mail traffic and more than one billion individual mailboxes.

Sega Customer Database Hacked

Sega Customer Database Hacked

Video game company Sega had a and sensitive information on about 1.3 million customers has been compromised, according to media reports.
The database of the Sega Pass website includes customer names, dates of birth, e-mail addresses, and encrypted passwords.

Various media outlets have been able to confirm the attack with officials from the Japanese company. The news site Playstation Lifestyle posted the text of an e-mail that Sega reportedly sent to Sega Pass registered users on Friday night informing them of the breach.
In the letter, Sega stresses that passwords weren't stored in plain text, but rather encrypted, and that payment information wasn't involved in the incident.
Still, the company recommends that people who use the same e-mail/password combination to access other websites that they used for Sega Pass proactively change those passwords. (See also Lulzsec E-Mail Hack Proves We're Lousy at Picking Passwords.")
Customers should also be on the lookout for suspicious communications asking for personal information, as they may be attempts to involve them in fraudulent transactions using the compromised information, the company said in the letter.
The company already disabled the Sega Pass website temporarily while it investigates the incident and has reset all passwords.
The breach is the latest large-scale hacking incident to happen in recent months. Sony has had several systems compromised, most infamously its Playstation Network and Qriocity service, exposing personal and credit card information on millions of customers. Citibank also fell victim to a hack attack that compromised credit card data, as well as U.S. government agencies
The LulzSec hacker group has reportedly offered to help Sega in its investigation

Fake Anti-Virus Poses As Microsoft Update

Fake Anti-Virus Poses As Microsoft Update

Sophos, the IT security and data protection firm, has released a new warning regarding a fake anti-virus attack. The specialty of this is that it masquerades as Microsoft's security update and tricks the user into installing malicious software. The affected user sees an almost exact replica of the Microsoft update page, but there is a difference. This works only in Firefox, while the real Microsoft update site requires you to use Internet Explorer.

Fake Microsoft update looks exactly like the real thing

Fake Microsoft update looks exactly like the real thing
It can be seen of late, that fake anti-virus attacks have become more professional, and can actually convince more innocent people than ever before, to fall into this trap. In this case, a huge amount of attention has been paid to copy the graphics and website elements of the original site to fool people into believing that the bogus site is in fact, the original. They have also taken advantage of the timing of the monthly update patch released by Microsoft, known as Patch Tuesday, to get more users into installing this malicious software.

ISRO Builds India's Fastest Supercomputer

ISRO Builds India's Fastest Supercomputer

Indian Space Research Organisation has built a supercomputer, which is to be India's fastest supercomputer in terms of theoretical peak performance of 220 TeraFLOPS (220 Trillion Floating Point Operations per second). The supercomputing facility named as Satish Dhawan Supercomputing Facility is located at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram. The new Graphic Processing Unit (GPU) based supercomputer named "SAGA-220" (Supercomputer for Aerospace with GPU Architecture-220 TeraFLOPS) is being used by space scientists for solving complex aerospace problems. The supercomputer SAGA-220 was inaugurated by Dr K Radhakrishnan, Chairman, ISRO today at VSSC.
220 TFLOPS facility "SAGA-220" Supercomputer is fully designed and built by Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre using commercially available hardware, open source software components and in house developments. The system uses 400 NVIDIA Tesla 2070 GPUs and 400 Intel Quad Core Xeon CPUs supplied by WIPRO with a high speed interconnect. With each GPU and CPU providing a performance of 500 GigaFLOPS and 50 GigaFLOPS respectively, the theoretical peak performance of the system amounts to 220 TeraFLOPS. The present GPU system offers significant advantage over the conventional CPU based system in terms of cost, power and space requirements. The total cost of this Supercomputer is about Rs. 14 crores. The system is environmentally green and consumes a power of only 150 kW. This system can also be easily scaled to many PetaFLOPS (1000 TeraFLOPS).
